Mikko Griinari was born in 1960 on a dairy farm in Karhula, Finland. He now lives in Espoo, Finland, with his spouse Anna-Liisa and two dogs. Their three children have moved out, but fortunately live close to their old home. Mikko has studied nutrition and specialized in fatty acid metabolism. His professional career began with a job in feed industry and continued with a dairy industry job. In between these two positions he spent four years in graduate school in the USA. A two year period as a university researcher in Helsinki was followed by seven years as a full time consultant and then again two years at a university, this time in Uppsala, Sweden. At the moment, Mikko Griinari running the family company, Olini Ltd. with his wife.
